First and foremost, the lead pastor for Titus Fellowship must meet the qualifications as delineated in scripture, specifically 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. In addition to those character qualities, the following is a description of what kind of man would be a good fit for our church, in our community.
Titus Fellowship is only two years old. However, the church consists of a number of mature believers. As a recent church plant, we are currently meeting for Sunday morning Bible study and worship service in the Bellville, community activities center. On Sunday evening, our students and preteens use this same building for their activities. The incoming pastor needs to be able to help steward our rented facilities while leading the church through a successful building program at the right time.
The right pastor will be able to lead our congregation by knowing how to equip us for doing the work of ministry. He needs to have a very good knowledge of the scriptures with the ability to preach and teach the truths found in the Word of God without compromise. He needs to have at least a
Masters of Divinity degree or is in the process of completing that degree. He needs to be a strong leader, yet capable of working with the elders and being a team player. The position of Lead Pastor is full time with a starting salary of $75,000 annually, with up to $600 per month for health insurance.
The right pastor for Titus Fellowship would be capable of leading the church in a more non-traditional approach. We are looking for someone who understands that the message of the gospel never changes, however the methods for delivering that message can be creative and innovative.
Titus Fellowship is committed to being a missional ministry that strongly believes in outreach to the community. As our vision statement reflects, we want to reach the next generation. This would include both the desire and capability of reaching the various ethnic people groups represented in the Bellville, Austin County area.
