Come Grow With Us

PURPOSE

To function as a unified body by providing a relevant environment to meet the needs of our community and the world in obedience to the Great Commandment of Matthew

22:36-40 and the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

To function as a unified body to establish and maintain a balanced, growing congregation that seeks to fulfill the God-given purposes of

  • Worship: the discipline of glorifying God in spirit and truth both individually and corporately.
  • Fellowship: devoting ourselves to the shared life we have as fellow believers for the purpose of building the community.
  • Discipleship: obedience to both the study of God’s word and to teaching others, prioritizing intentionality, growth, and accountability.
  • Ministry: the carrying out of the Great Commission to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth
  • Missions: meeting the needs of the community, and beyond, through the love of Christ.
  • Evangelism: to spread the Gospel by both public preaching and personal witness.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1.  We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore is lost. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man's salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
  5. We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
  6. We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
  7. We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the Church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation.
  8. 8. We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.
  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
  10. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The Church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.
  11. We believe that Christian marriage is by definition, the spiritual and physical uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive covenant commitment for their joint lifetime.
  12. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.

Dr. Steve Suders

Steve holds a Master of Divinity and Doctorate from Liberty University. Along with his wife of 41 years, Sheila, they have raised four boys and enjoy their four wonderful grandchildren. Called into full time vocational ministry in 1978, Steve, while in seminary, volunteered to help with a church plant in Va. Beach, Virginia. Three years later Steve was hired by that same church as an Associate Pastor. Moving to Williamsburg, Virgina in 1989 Steve & Sheila went to plant a church where Steve would become their Lead Pastor. Steve served there for twenty-four years before he and Sheila relocated to Brenham, TX. While in Brenham, God gave Steve clarity to receive training as an Intentional Interim Pastor. This training, along with his gifts and experiences, have allowed him these past nine years to serve pastor-less churches who are in need of assistance in finding a lead pastor who is the “right fit” for their ministry. As an experienced church planter, Steve was called by Titus Fellowship to assist with the planting of the church. Steve was hired July 1, 2023, six months after Titus held its first service, and have since helped to organize the church Constitution, By-Laws, Vision, and Mission. Steve will remain as the shepherd of Titus until God reveals the right man, who is the right fit, to become the lead pastor of Titus Fellowship. Titus Fellowship is thankful and honored to have Steve and his wife Sheila for the time God has them with us. Steve has been and will continue to be a crucial part of our growing process.
