PURPOSE
To function as a unified body by providing a relevant environment to meet the needs of our community and the world in obedience to the Great Commandment of Matthew
22:36-40 and the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.
To function as a unified body to establish and maintain a balanced, growing congregation that seeks to fulfill the God-given purposes of
- Worship: the discipline of glorifying God in spirit and truth both individually and corporately.
- Fellowship: devoting ourselves to the shared life we have as fellow believers for the purpose of building the community.
- Discipleship: obedience to both the study of God’s word and to teaching others, prioritizing intentionality, growth, and accountability.
- Ministry: the carrying out of the Great Commission to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth
- Missions: meeting the needs of the community, and beyond, through the love of Christ.
- Evangelism: to spread the Gospel by both public preaching and personal witness.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
- We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
- We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore is lost. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man's salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
- We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
- We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
- We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the Church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation.
- 8. We believe in the personal, bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
- We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The Church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.
- We believe that Christian marriage is by definition, the spiritual and physical uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive covenant commitment for their joint lifetime.
- We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.
Matthew Glaze
Our Lead Pastor Matthew Glaze holds a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves Titus Fellowship in a
bi-vocational roll as Lead Pastor while also working for Blinn College in Brenham as The Director of Residence Hall Operations.
Matthew and his wife Victoria married in 2019 and are both natives of Beaumont, Tx. Victoria has served the community through Physical Therapy at Midcoast Medical Center in Bellville, Tx since 2019.
In 2023 Matthew and Victoria welcomed their first son, Levi, into the world. They are excited to see him grow into a saving relationship with Jesus and hope The Lord will continue to bless them with more children in the future.
